Work Week Wrap
This week has been rather busy and, frankly, I’ve been slacking off the blog. Well, no more, sir, no more!
First things first, pour one out this weekend for Patrick McGoohan and Ricardo Montalban who both passed this week. Number Six and Khan Noonien Singh are two of my favorite characters in film or TV. Be seeing you.
Yesterday afternoon was dominated by the forced landing of US Airways Flight 1549 into the Hudson. My office building looks out over the river but too far downtown to actually see the landing. However, we could hear the sirens of emergency crews moving uptown towards the landing site. A commuter on a ferry that came to the rescue shot some footage from the scene:
Between 4:45 and 5:15 or so, a flotilla of tugs and other boats escorted the flooded but still slightly buoyant wreck down towards Battery Park. I took some blurry pictures from my camera.

I’ve been working on creating my own (completely my own) template for the blog that I can extend over the entire site. It’s a grungy look but I like it. It’ll be coming soon, probably over the weekend. Here’s a preview:
My sister and her beau are coming into to town tonight for dinner and she’s bringing a copy of the finished short (written by me, directed by her), The Power of Freedom. I can’t wait to give it a spin!

What do you think?
